Mr. Tietz has not been in the best of health for about two years, but was quite active and just a few hours before his death drove to his farm to assist in burning weeds. It was while at this task he suddenly collapsed and passed away almost immediately, suffering an acute heart attack.

Russia, homesteaded here and, with the help of his young wife whom he married in S. Russia, and who survives her husband, carved out a real American home in which he successfully raised a large family of seven sons and five daughters. He was respected and honored by all his neighbors and friends and his passing leaves a sad vacancy in the community which cannot be filled.

OBITUARY John Tietz was born in S. Russia on January 24, 1879 and died May 15,, 1945, being 66 years, 3 months and 21 days of age.
